Course Overview

First Safety Institute Exit Routes, Emergency Planning, and Fire Protection is a program to provide employees with a general awareness of the emergency safety features in the workplace and how to respond during emergency situations. It is intended to help meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training regulations.

• Set up and maintain exit routes.
• Implement the requirements of the Emergency Action and Fire Prevention Plans.
• Recognize alarm signals.
• Implement evacuation procedures.
• Protect yourself from fire and other hazards.
• Evacuate an area in an emergency.
